After 20 years in HR, I became increasingly frustrated seeing so many people get in the way of their career success, and ultimately business success. Self-limiting beliefs, imposter syndrome, behavioural blind spots, poor leadership skills, and a lack of emotional intelligence, all regularly get in the way of people stepping up and taking others with them.

Like so many others, I read the fabulous article by Adam Grant in the New York Times entitled "There’s a Name for the Blah You’re Feeling: It’s Called Languishing". It resonated on many levels. It also made me realise that I needed to act on a few things that have been on my mind over recent months.
